Miscible with water, lower aliphatic alcohols, glycerin, acetic acid, acetone and similar ketones, aldehydes, pyridine and similar coal tar bases, slightly soluble in ether, almost insoluble in benzene and its homologues, chlorinated hydrocarbons, Petroleum ether and oils.
